A servant of the Lord Jesus Christ who believes this is the last generation before the Lord’s return. No date can be set for His coming, but we can know the times and the seasons. [1Thes 5:1-7; Amos 3:7 ]

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God [Mark 14:61-62] and God manifest in the flesh [1Tim 3:16]. Abraham saw Him and was glad [John 8:56-58]. Jesus is the Word of God who was with the Father in the beginning, and Who created all things with His Father [John 1:1-3]. He had neither beginning and has no end [Heb 7:3], therefore He is not a created being. He revealed himself to Apostle Paul as “Lord” from heaven. (“Who art thou, Lord?” asked Paul, and the Lord from heaven said “I am Jesus” [Acts 9:5]). He prayed TO His Father in John 17, asking that the church would be “one” as He and the Father are “one” [John 17:11,21-22], and I don’t believe He was asking that we would all become the Father.  ALL THINGS WERE MADE BY HIM. He is GOD. HE is the Lord, sitting with His Father in His thrown Rev 3:21.  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

God sent His only begotten Son Jesus in the flesh of a man to be the sacrifice for the sins of the whole world [John 3:16; Heb 9:26; 1John 2:2], not for an elect few. WHOSOEVER WILL, let him come and take of the Water of Life freely [Rev 22:17]. God is not willing that ANY should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance [2Pe 3:9], and the fact that God is “sovereign” does not contradict the fact that He has given all men freedom to choose life or death [Deu 30:19]. Jesus said “He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; he that believes not shall be lost” [Mark 16:15-16]. Peter said to “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” [Acts 2:38]. God only gives the Holy Spirit and eternal life to all who continue obeying Him [Acts 5:32; Heb 5:9]. We serve what we yield ourselves servants to obey ~ either sin unto death or obedience unto righteousness [Rom 6:16]. Grace that brings salvation has appeared to ALL men to teach us we must live soberly, holy, righteous lives to be saved [Titus 2:11-12]. Grace does not teach men that to do justly is somehow “adding to the finished work of the cross”, as many now seem to believe; who greatly err to think such [2Pet 1:2-11]. He that says he knows Jesus, but doesn’t keep His commandments – is a liar and the Truth is not in him [1John 2:3-4]. He qualifies as a hypocrite who merely SAYS he knows God but whose works deny Him [Titus 1:16]. Jesus asks hypocrites “Why do you CALL me ‘Lord Lord’, but not DO what I say to do?” [Luke 6:46; Matt 7:21] Jesus never qualified superficial professing Christians, but sought those who would FOLLOW him by keeping his commandments. He said that’s what His SHEEP do [John 10:27-29, 5; Rev 22:14] Goats don’t.

Jesus and the apostles all taught both Jews and Gentiles to REPENT (turn from sin to God by forsaking their evil ways)[Matt 4:17; Matt 28:19-20; Act 20:21], to walk in faith in Jesus Christ, and to endure sound doctrine with it’s accompanying persecution [Matt 10:22; Acts 14:22].  ALL who will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution [2Tim 3:12]. If we are friends with the world, we commit adultery against God our husband, and are God’s enemies [Jas 4:4]. Whosoever loves the world and it’s lust and pride does not have the love of God abiding in him [1John 2:15-16]. No man can serve two masters; he’ll either hate the one and love the other or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. You CANNOT serve both God and riches [Matt 6:24]. WOE to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation [Luke 6:24]; no heavenly reward awaits you [2Tim 2:12; 2Tim 4:10; Matt 10:33]. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God [Luke 18:25]. Whosoever of you that forsakes not all he has cannot be Christ’s disciple [Luke 14:33]. With men this is impossible, but you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you [Luke 18:27; Philip 4:13].

He that seeks to save his life will lose it, but he that loses his life for Christ’s sake and for the Gospel will save it [Mark 8:35]. It is a narrow way that leads to life, which FEW find, but it is a broad way that leads to destruction and MANY go that way [Matt 7:13-14], deceived because of many false teachers [Matt 24:4,11; 2Tim 3:13; 2Pet 2:1-2]. They THINK they are serving God [John 16:2]. The false prophets are highly esteemed of men, but an abomination to God [Luk 16:15]. Let him who THINKS he stands take heed to the Truth LEST he falls [1Cor 10:12].

I have neither Master’s, Bachelor’s, nor PhD, for I am yet in the School of Hard Knocks, still learning. I do know that cross is the way to life [Luke 9:23-24], not seminary degrees. When they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and knew that they were ignorant and unlearned men, they marveled and took knowledge of them that they had been with Jesus [Act 4:13]. If you see any light in me, it’s only what Jesus has given me; and to Him be all the glory.

The light of God is available to all men and women who diligently seek Him by FAITH [Heb 11:6], for God gives to ALL men liberally [James 1:5] without any respect of persons, for God is not a racist [Acts 10:34-35]. He does not see one race more holy or acceptable to Him than any other [Gal 3:28-29]. All who teach otherwise misrepresent the heart of the Almighty who created all men and who judges without respect of persons or nationality. Those whom Scripture calls the chosen people of God are ONLY those of any nation who fear God and WORK righteousness by FAITH in Christ Jesus.[1Pet 2:1-9]

God is not worshiped with men’s hands, since He needs nothing. He never commanded David to build him a temple of stone or cedar, but had always dwelt in tents. [2Sam 7:5-7; Acts 7:46-50; 17:24; Hos 8:14] The CHURCH of Jesus Christ is the true temple of God. [1Cor 3:16-17; 6:19; 2Cor 6:16; Rev 3:12; Eph 2:19-22; 1Pet 2:5-10]

Joh 5:23 That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honors not the Son honors not the Father which hath sent him.

2Jn 1:9 Whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, does not have God living in him. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that bids him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. (that temple is defiled; he is a thorn ready to be burned. From such withdraw yourself; let them alone; avoid them.)

  1. Neal, ty for clarifying. Please understand what I must confront almost daily are the lukewarm twistings of scripture from an army of reprobates, who often use all the right terminology to confuse every issue. You might THINK you know a person, only to hear them say things months, or even years later that totally blow you away, and cause you to wonder, “How well and long they’ve been hiding THAT spirit! Why didn’t I discern this before?”

  2. Nealreal, your comments are exactly on target, just as are those of Smashing Idols. Very few of those calling themselves Christians today have this clear understanding of God’s truth and gospel. God knows those who are his, and all who are indeed his have left their sins behind, turning to God to walk in righteousness with him.

  3. Amen. God calls all men to repentance. And those who answer his call and receive his mercy through Christ are his CHOSEN.

  4. Paul, my prayer is that by presenting the true knowledge of God, many may be delivered from the power of darkness into the glorious liberty of the sons of God. God is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance. He has given us the way to do that. Jesus gave us the perfect example how. He IS the way, but not apart from his word. Sadly, many create a god in their own image and imagine a Jesus who did not speak things like the Jesus found in scripture, They vainly concoct a false Jesus who accepts everyone just as they are, haters of God, in their sins, unwilling to repent and be made free… AS IF being free from sin is impossible, and they believe that impossibility necessitated Christ’s crucifixion. Such darkness denies the true grace of God, turns it into a license to sin, and does despite to the spirit of grace, while trodding Jesus underfoot.

  5. Smashing Idols, you have excellent insight into God’s truth, from all that I have read today on discovering this link (referenced on another site which pretends to refute your stand against unconditional “eternal security”). It is always good to see that men are still receiving the light of truth whenever they humbly seek God and are willing to walk in that light, escaping sin’s bondage and the false doctrines of men and demons. May Almighty God richly bless you.

  6. Hello, my name is Neal and I left the harlot church 4 years ago. I’ve been to your blog and I agree with what I’ve read so far. I’m contacting you to inform you of a tool the Lord led me to build called the fellowship network. It’s for people who left the harlot church and don’t have a fellowship. This tool can help connect them to other like-minded believers. Just letting everyone I come across know about it. You can find more info at: – Thanks 🙂

    • Hi Neal. I don’t know what reason you left the IC, but I applaud your effort to provide for others who have left. But let me offer a word of caution:

The site you referred to states this FIRST in its statement of faith:

      “5 Things We Don’t Believe
      1. The “Works” Gospel
Response: No amount of our own work can make us acceptable to God and get us into heaven. Our works are like filthy rags (stinky, menstrual pads) to God (Isaiah 64:6; Eph 2:8-10)”

I respond to the site’s statement: Contrary to the teaching of the IC, all good works are not “our own righteousness”, neither are they all “filthy wrags”!
To begin with, FAITH is a WORK!

Joh 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Act 9:36 …A certain disciple named Tabitha, called Dorcas: was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.

Rom 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same.

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Tit 2:7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity…

Tit 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; (Grace never gives a license to sin)
14 Jesus gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

Tit 3:8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
14 And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works

Jas 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

1Pe 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Tit 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

      Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who, knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (fellowship)

1Ti 2:9 Women should adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

1Ti 5:9 Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man,
10 Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

1Ti 5:24 Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after. 25 Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.

1Ti 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world…
      18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

The false gospel presented in the apostate denominations today is one that justifies continued evil works, while it condemns the true gospel that demands repentance as a “works gospel”. According to this popular false gospel, just so long as you confess that you are a sinner, and that you will ALWAYS BE a sinner, you are accepted as saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. But once you deny the foundation of ths false gospel (original sin), and say with scripture that no one is BORN in sin (Ezek 18:20), you are condemned as a heretic, and they say you don’t believe the gospel, and therefore have not been saved. Original sin is the foundation of Augustine’s false, Gnostic gospel, which claims that men are totally depraved and incapable of obeying God. It is the root of why the IC allows all kinds of sinners to take communion and be called brethren in Christ, when they are not in Christ at all, even if they once were. Jesus said Repent or perish, but the IC says just confess you’re a sinner and say a little prayer with the pastor; claim you “believe” in Jesus, and you’re saved, and can never lose it, even if you become a wicked man or woman. This is why so many drunks rolling in their own vomit think they’re saved.

“We believe only the Holy Spirit enables us to live a holy life by yielding and letting him work in and through us.”

This doctrine is Calvinism. It denies the first command of Jesus: “Repent and believe the gospel”! It is saying that one first needs to have the Holy Spirit to be able to do good. Jesus did not choose an elect few, then give them the ability to repent, for ALL men are able to come to God by faith, and the gospel is to be preached to the whole world. Whosover will, let him come and take of the water of life freely. We serve who we choose to yield ourselves servants to obey. God doesn’t choose who He will enable to repent; He commands ALL men to do so, so all men are ABLE to, or God couldn’t judge them for not doing so! God has not told some who want to repent that He will not accept their repentance, if they repent in accordance with His commandments. God is not a respecter of persons like Calvinism claims He is. But a feigned, IC response, which only pleases men; that is, a so-called repentance or ‘change of mind” that does not obey God, but instead obeys vain church tradition, is totally worthless. One may “repent” of not going to church, to now attend, or of not paying tithes, and begin paying them, or of questioning a pastor’s doctrine, to now never doubting the pastor, but that kind of repentance IS filthy rags.

Did the gospel Jesus preached never command good works? References the site uses to try to support its statement against a “works gospel” fail to do so. The statement denies what scripture teaches. See Acts 5:32, John 14:15-17, and Mark 16:14 for example. God gives the gift of the Holy Ghost to all who OBEY Him, so one must FIRST obey God to receive the Holy Spirit. Peter said the same in Acts 2:38. Repent, and THEN receive the Holy Spirit. This proves that men CAN first repent of sin before they are given the Spirit, and that God accepts their repentance; He does not call it filthy rags. The IC teaches INABILITY, but scripture teaches you CAN do good first. Sin is a CHOICE, not a disease we all receive at birth. Babies don’t sin; sin is a choice made by those who know right from wrong (James 4:17). Did Cain already have the Holy Spirit when God told him “IF you DO WELL, won’t you be accepted?”? (Gen 4:7). The IC says “No! You CAN’T do good! That’s a works gospel!” Peter said men who fear God and WORK righteousness are accepted of Him” Acts 10:35. There’s the “works righteousness” gospel that the IC despises and denies, right there in scripture, but the blind lead the blind into the ditch of working iniquity and thinking they’re saved in it.

Grace didn’t teach men because God saw they were good. Grace that brings salvation (to the obedient) teaches ALL men to live righteously, soberly, and godly lives. Those who are saved by the teaching of God’s grace are those who by faith believe that Jesus will return to make those who did good immortal, to give them eternal life, and to destroy those who did evil in everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. (Titus 2:11-13; John 5:28,29; Matt 25:30-46). No man can boast that God’s grace appeared to teach him because he was so good, because Grace teaches the worst of sinners to repent.

For by grace are ye saved through faith (in its teaching), and that (teaching is) not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works (of men) lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus UNTO GOOD WORKS, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.

The above verses (most of the time omitting v 10), are often used to turn grace into lasciviousness and to deny the commandments of Christ (Jude 1:4). Grace is not of ourselves, for if we were our own teachers, we would surely justify our own evils (Isn’t that precisely what the IC does?), whereas grace reproves us for our sins (John 16:7-8; John 3:19-21). God ordained that we should walk in good works before He sent grace that teaches us to. He made man upright, but men sought out their own ways (evident within the denominations), and needed God’s reproof. If man (whom God originally made “very good”, like He made all things) was incapable of yielding to evil, then he wouldn’t have been able to love God either, for he would have been like a tree or a stone; a robot without the ability to love or hate.

Many have fled the denominations, only to lean their hand on yet another wall of apostate doctrine, and the serpent (Satan) bites them:

Amo 5:19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

Isa 24:16 From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.
17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.
18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.

We are living in a time of spiritual famine because of the wickedness of people. Many run to and fro seeking the Word of the Lord and not finding it. Amos 8

Mat 15:3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
      5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

As Isaiah said above, we’ve heard congregations praising the Lord in song, but in doctrine and deed, as Jesus said, they deny Him while honoring Him with their mouth. This evil work of vain worship is not limited to the IC, for many “non denominational” gatherings are just as hypocritical. I know; I’ve been there.

If we flee the IC, only to fellowship with groups that have dragged her lies out with them, what have we accomplished but merely a change of location? We’ve then spread Babylon’s evil work even further, and the only difference is now WE’RE responsible for her evil deeds like the IC pastors are, and now we too are trodding down God’s pasture, muddying the waters so that if the sheep come to us, they must swallow our filthy defilement of God’s temple.

      • I just read your response today. I didn’t get a notification until today. I’m sorry you misunderstood some of my doctrinal beliefs. God commands us to repent and believe in Christ in order to be saved and this is an act that we can do on our own. I believe in freewill and I’m not a Calvinist.

Also, I believe that faith in God leads to obedience and good works. The “works” I was referring to were works of the flesh and dead works which men do to justify themselves before God. I wasn’t talking about all works (how could you have misunderstood this). Some works are generated by the Holy Spirit in us therefore they are accepted by God.

As far as my statement: “We believe only the Holy Spirit enables us to live a holy life by yielding and letting him work in and through us.” I believe this because Jesus said “we can do nothing without him” (John 15:5). The bible also says that “if we walk in the Spirit we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh” (Gal 5:16). Therefore we can’t stay away from sin or be holy in our own power, we need the Holy Spirit — and this is what I mean, by yielding to his power. I just wanted to clarify some things even though it’s be almost a year LOL
