  1. if we deny Him, He will deny us also.
    but what about Apostle Peter who denied Jesus Christ 3 times and yet He was still saved?
    i do believe that every words of our LORD JESUS CHRIST are true, but what does He mean when He said, If we deny Him, He will deny us also if Apostle Peter was still accepted?

    • Your question is a good one, Jedidiah. Peter did indeed deny Jesus three times…and then went and wept bitterly, and repented. Later, after Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead, He asked Peter three times: “Do you love me more than these (fishing boats and fish)? Feed my sheep”. I believe God saw Peter’s sincere repentance for his denial of the Lord, and forgave him, or Jesus would not have told Peter to feed His sheep.
      Samson also was one who had denied the Lord a number of times with the harlot Delilah before he finally overstepped God’s boundary. For money, Delilah caused his capture by his enemies who put his eyes out, and made him a slave. Sin pays such wages. If we play with it and don’t repent, it will enslave us and put out our spiritual eyesight. After God greatly chastened him, Samson was forgiven and given his strength back, just before the Philistines were about to destroy him. I feel quite sure Samson had already cried out to God in humility before God forgave him. The sad thing is, this can’t be said for many who harden their heart against God. As in Romans 1, many know the judgment of God, that those who do evil are worthy of death, yet choose not only to continually do those things, but take pleasure with those who do. Many cover with a covering but not of God’s spirit, and sear their conscience so they can feel free to add sin to sin. Such rebellion is witchcraft and idolatry. Just how far can one who knows better go before God cuts them off completely? We see from scripture that God is longsuffering, but He doesn’t keep back His wrath forever.

      I heard this poem years ago:

      There is a time, we know not when,
      A point we know not where,
      That marks the destiny of men
      To glory or despair.

      There is a line by us unseen,
      That crosses every path;
      The hidden boundary between
      God’s patience and His wrath.

      How long may we go on in sin?
      How long will God forbear?
      Where does hope end, and where begin
      The confines of despair?

      An answer from the skies is sent;
      “Ye that from God depart,
      While it is called today, repent,
      And harden not your heart.”

      Dr. J. Addison Alexander

      Remembering what happened to rebellious Israel, how God destroyed them for their wickedness, after He had blessed them, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. I believe Peter came to his senses, and didn’t remain in the pigpen of unbelief. What a vain and fruitless life (or should I say death) one lives who denies Christ in their works while deceiving himself by praising God with his mouth.

  2. Luk 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

    Mal 2:2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.

    • And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever…”

      Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, He gave them over to a depraved mind…

      Then they will call on Me, but I will not answer; they will seek Me diligently, but they will not find Me.
      Because they hated knowledge & did not choose the fear of the Lord

      Gen 6.3a, Rom 1.28a, Prov 1.28-29

    • STRIVING ISN’T POPULAR TODAY, SO COVETOUS PASTORS PREACH EAR-TICKLING LIES which CAUSE BELIEVERS TO TURN AWAY FROM THE COMMANDS OF JESUS TO SERVE THE FLESH, THINKING IT CANT EFFECT THEIR STANDING WITH GOD. Even a quick read of Rev 2 and 3 reveal the corruption of their teachings.
