1000 year reign examined

John 14:2  In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Where did Jesus go? To some hidden place in earthly Jerusalem the disciples didn’t know about?

Are not the faithful going to the place he prepared for them on the same day this earth melts? Although Noah did return to land after the flood subsided, Lot did not return to Sodom after it was destroyed by fire. Since we know that Sodom and Gomorrah became desolate forever after they were burned, the teaching that the church returns to earth after the Lord’s return does not fit what Jesus said about his coming being likened to both the days of Noah and the days of Lot..

The essential part Jesus stressed about both Noah’s day and Lot’s day, and the specific likeness to his coming  was this:

THE SAME DAY the wicked were destroyed, the righteous were saved.

It will be like that when He returns. No second chance. No secret rapture, and no 7 more years for anyone to remain living, let alone be saved, who isn’t caught up with Jesus into the air. No additional 1000 years to think it over and be saved either. The righteous are made immortal at the last trump, and the wicked are cast into the fire.

Luk 17:26  And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

27  They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, UNTIL THE DAY that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

28  LIKEWISE also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

29  But THE SAME DAY that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30  EVEN THUS shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Rev 20:5  But the rest of the dead lived not again [were not raised up] until the THOUSAND YEARS were finished.

WHO ARE the “dead” referred to here? Buried people? Or dead in sins?

THIS is the first resurrection: Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

1Ti_5:6  But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

Eph_2:1  And you hath he MADE ALIVE; RISEN, who were DEAD IN TRESPASSES AND SINS; 2  Which in time past ye walked, according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air; the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3  Among whom also we all lived in times past, in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. [all have sinned]

Those who live after their fleshly desires and their pride are dead in trespasses and sins.

Luk_9:60  Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

These dead  [wallowing in the mire of the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience; deceiving and being deceived] are even now burying the dead with another gospel. They cannot preach the kingdom of God because they either don’t know God or have forsaken Him; they cannot “buy or sell” the truth because their heart is not right with God. The “light” in them [their eye/forehead] is darkness, and how great is that darkness!

Mat 13:11  He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Now we know that there will be a resurrection when Jesus comes to gather together the elect – at the “last day”: [Before that day, believers should expect “much tribulation” (Acts 14:22), but we are not appointed to suffer God’s wrath -IF- we abide in Him]. We know from Mat 25 that judgment day happens when Jesus comes with his angels. ALL will rise to be judged at that time, both sheep and goats.

Mat 13:30  Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
40  As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41  The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42  And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43  Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

But Rev 20:5&6 reveals the “1000 years” to be the FIRST resurrection. Does the first resurrection happen at the second coming, or  before then?

We know that the saints are appointed to judge the world:

1Co 6:2  Do ye not know that the saints shall  judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
3  Know ye not that we shall judge angels [ministering spirits]? how much more things that pertain to this life?
4  If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, SET THEM TO JUDGE who are least esteemed in the church.
5  I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?

Paul wrote certainly doesn’t sound like he’s rebuking those who judge correctly! But haven’t we all heard someone say something like this:

“JUDGE NOT! NOBODY’S PERFECT! ARE YOU SAYING YOU DON’T EVER SIN? You’re trusting in your own works!”

Read 1Cor 5 and then 6. Notice how Paul encouraged judgment.

Dan 7:22  Until the Ancient of days came, and JUDGMENT WAS GIVEN TO THE SAINTS of the most High; and THE TIME CAME THAT THE SAINTS POSSESSED THE KINGDOM.

Mar_1:15  And saying, THE TIME IS FULFILLED, and THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Mat 16:19  And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Rev 1:5  Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. He loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6  And [Jesus] HAS MADE US KINGS AND PRIESTS unto God and his Father 9  I John, who also AM your brother, and companion in tribulation, and IN THE KINGDOM and patience of Jesus Christ

But WHEN do the saints judge the world? How could we judge the world AFTER Christ’s second coming, since the wicked will all be burned up and destroyed when Christ comes? Don’t those who have put on the mind of Christ judge justly now? Aren’t they even now discerning good from evil correctly? Aren’t those who are dead in their sins judging incorrectly?

Joh 7:24  Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Isa 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isa 5:21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
Isa 5:22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
Isa 5:23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

For those who think the saints (those who have removed the beam from their eye) should not be judging, Jesus asks:

Luk_12:57  Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

Pro 21:3  To DO justice and JUDGMENT is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

Isa_59:15  Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and IT DISPLEASED HIM THAT THERE WAS NO JUDGMENT.

Isa_59:8  The way of peace they know not; and THERE IS NO JUDGMENT IN THEIR GOINGS; they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.

Isa_54:17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and EVERY TONGUE THAT SHALL RISE AGAINST THEE IN JUDGMENT THOU SHALT CONDEMN. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Jer_22:3  Thus saith the LORD; EXECUTE YE JUDGMENT AND RIGTEOUSNESS, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.

Lot judged the world, and the world hated him for it:

Gen_19:9  (BBE) And they said, Give way there. This one man, they said, came here from a strange country, and will he now be our judge?
[CEV] “You’re an outsider. What right do you have to order us around?  [ESV] “This fellow came to sojourn, and he has become the judge! now we will do worse to you than to them; and pushing violently against Lot, they
came near to get the door broken in.

Noah judged the world:

Heb_11:7  By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, MOVED with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; BY THE WHICH HE CONDEMNED THE WORLD, and became heir of the righteousness which is BY FAITH.

[BBE] the world was judged by him
[CEV] In this way the people of the world were judged.

False teachers are FALSE JUDGES, who have not the mind of Christ, but the mind of the flesh; the mark of the beast. They speak and judge as a dragon, while deceiving many into thinking they represent Christ. [having horns like a lamb]

2Co 11:15  Therefore it is no great thing if [Satan’s] ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

I believe that Noah, Lot, and all the old testament saints were born of God. For people (who lived after Jesus died) — to imagine that their own faith is superior or more acceptable to God than the faith of such men as Abel, Noah,  Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, or any of the prophets, is, in my opinion, extremely arrogant. My point of bringing this up here is that I don’t believe the first resurrection was limited to only those who lived AFTER the cross.

Jesus Christ, who is the word of God, was in the beginning, and was the same yesterday, today, and forever. The WORD has ALWAYS had eternal saving power! Many believed in him before he was born of Mary. Many were risen with Christ by a spiritual circumcision centuries before Jesus was crucified and rose. Christ’s sacrifice atoned for the sins of those both before and after the cross. Everyone who has ever been right with God has ALWAYS been so by grace through faith in the WORD OF GOD. When speaking about being born again, Jesus asked Nicodumus:

Joh 3:10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

Samuel told Saul:
1Sa 10:6 And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.

The circuncision of the heart is the born again experience.

But most Israelites were not saved. God described Israel as an harlot whom he divorced because of her filthy heart.

Jer_9:26  Egypt, and JUDAH, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are UNCIRCUMCISED IN THE HEART.

Eze_44:7  In that ye have brought into my sanctuary STRANGERS, UNCIRCUMCISED IN HEART, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; No stranger UNCIRCUMCISED IN HEART, … shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.

Zep_1:8  And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD’S sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s children, and all such as are clothed with STRANGE APARREL. [the body of the sins of the flesh]

Mat 22:11  And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12  And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? [RIGHTEOUSNESS] And he was speechless. 13  Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Act_7:51  Ye stiffnecked and UNCIRCUMCISED IN HEART and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: AS YOUR FATHERS did, so do ye.

Col 2:10  And ye are complete in [Jesus], which is the head of all principality and power: 11  In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12  Buried with him in baptism, wherein also YE ARE RISEN WITH HIM THROUGH the FAITH of the operation of God, who hath RAISED him FROM THE DEAD. 13  And YOU, BEING DEAD IN YOUR SINS, and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath HE QUICKENED [raised from the dead; resurrected] TOGETHER WITH HIM, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14  Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15  And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16  Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17  Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Mature believers know better than to judge those who eat certain meats or drink certain drinks, or who don’t frequent temples, or sacrifice on altars, or who don’t observe sabbath days, or old covenant feast days. [Romans 14]

So what about the dispensationalist teaching that Israel will be bringing animals to sacrifice before Jesus for 1000 years?

Isa 1:11  To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.13  Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. 14  Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. 15  And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.16  Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; 17  Learn to do well [DO JUDGMENT]; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. 18  Come now, and let us REASON TOGETHER, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19  IF ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land [BE SAVED]: 20  But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword [DAMNED]: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Pro 21:3  To DO justice and JUDGMENT is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

1Sa 15:22  And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 23  For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee…

Psa 51:16  For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.

Psa 51:17  The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Heb 10:5  Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: 6  In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. 8  Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; 9  Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. HE TAKETH AWAY THE FIRST THAT HE MAY ESTASBLISH THE SECOND.

The faithful know that the old covenant has been done away, NEVER AGAIN to be re-instated.

Heb 8:6  But now hath [Jesus] obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a BETTER covenant, which was established upon better promises. 7  For if that first covenant [made at Sinai] had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8  For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a NEW COVENANT with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9  NOT ACCORDING TO the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt. Because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.13  In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to VANISH AWAY.

The new covenant does not begin to take effect at the second coming; it is NOW!

Luk_5:39  No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
Mar_2:22  And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.

2Co_5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Gal_6:15  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

2Co 3:7  But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be DONE AWAY: 8  How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? 9  For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. 10  For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. 11  For if that which is DONE AWAY was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.

We should not expect [as dispensationalists do], that after Christ’s second coming, we will honor Jews above others, or revert back to animal sacrifices, pay tithes to a Jewish priesthood, or participate in temple ceremonies like the Jews offered under the old covenant.

Act 10:34  Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35  But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

Rom 2:6  [God] will render to every man according to his deeds: 7  To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: 8  But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9  Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10  But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11  For there is no respect of persons with God.26  Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? 27  And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law? 28  For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29  But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Rev_21:22  And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

Act 7:48  Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, 49  Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?50  Hath not my hand made all these things?

Jer 7:4  Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these.

Rev 20:6  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection [faith]: on such the second death hath no power,  but they [Christians of all nations] shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. [in the first resurrection]

1Pe 2:5  Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10  Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Hos 4:6  My [first] people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Rom_5:17  For if by one man’s offense death reigned by one; much more THEY WHICH RECEIVE ABUNDANCE OF GRACE AND of the gift of RIGHTEOUSNESS SHALL REIGN IN LIFE BY one, JESUS CHRIST.

Does John intend to communicate the “1000 years” to be a specific number of years? {Before answering, consider this: If we must take the book of Revelation literally, then we have to believe in two fire-breathing witnesses, and a literal seven-headed beast in the sea that carries a woman having a cup full of filthiness of her fornication, by which all nations are drunken.} Were there other verses in scripture that used the word “thousand” that did not mean a wooden, literal thousand?

Jos_23:10  One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.

Psa_50:10  For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

What about the cattle on hill #1001?

Psa_84:10  For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand.

Psa_91:7  A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

Rev 20:7  And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

(The spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience)

Rev 20:8  And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Luk_19:27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. [at the end of the world]

1Ti 4:1  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2  Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron

1Jn 4:3 …this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world

1Ti_5:15  For some are already turned aside after Satan.

1Jn 2:18 Even now are there MANY antichrists

1Jn_2:26  These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

Isa_44:20  He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

The the second beast in Rev 13; [who, in chap 20 is referred to as the false prophet] had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. Does the “beast” have literal horns? Of course not. But how was he “like a lamb”?

Mat 24: Take heed that no man deceives you. MANY SHALL COME IN MY NAME and shall deceive many

They come AS IF they represent Christ, but they really represent Satan.

Tit 1:10  For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, 11  Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake. One of themselves, a prophet of their own, said they are always liars, EVIL BEASTS, idle gluttons. [Do not many, while claiming to be in Christ, say “We are all totally depraved!”]

Jud 1:4  For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Rev 20:9  And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and COMPASSED THE CAMP OF THE SAINTS ABOUT, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Gal 1:6  I marvel that YE ARE SO SOON REMOVED from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7  Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

They have all been convinced (by bad logic) that everyone is:

1.born in sin,
2. saved in sin, and
3. can NEVER stop sinning!

[they have voluntarily received the mark of the devil]

Gal 3:1  O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth…?
Gal 5:7  Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? 8  This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. 9  A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. 10  I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

2Th 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8  In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9  Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;10  When he shall come… in that [last] day.

Rev 20:1  And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2  And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3  And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Jud 1:6  And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 11  Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. 12  These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 13  Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

Joh 8:21  Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.
44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.
47  He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.10  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, with the beast and the false prophet, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Rev 20:11  And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Joh 12:48  He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: THE WORD that I have spoken, the same SHALL JUDGE HIM IN THE LAST DAY

2Co 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Mat 25:31  When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32  And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33  And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Rev 20:13  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Mat 16:27  For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and THEN he shall reward every man according to his works.

Rev 20:14  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Psa 96:13 Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

Luk 17:29  But the SAME DAY that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30  EVEN THUS shall it be IN THE DAY when the Son of man is revealed.

Joh 6:39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should I WILL RAISE IT UP AGAIN LAST DAY.40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I WILL RAISE HIM UP LAST DAY.44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I WILL RAISE HIM UP LAST DAY.54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I WILL RAISE HIM UP LAST DAY.

Joh 11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that HE SHALL RISE AGAIN IN THE RESURRECTION AT THE LAST DAY.

Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: THE WORD that I have spoken, the same SHALL JUDGE him IN THE LAST DAY.

THIS is the second and final resurrection. No second chance. The righteous are then made immortal and the wicked cast into the lake of fire.
